Hey, Brother Scott here. Music has been my life for almost 30 years in many ways through several chapters (currently as Birdsong Guitars); through all of them I remained creative and made lots of recordings...

Organic Sound began as a concept of embracing honest in-the-moment imperfection - that if (for example) all the natural background is removed, the art is completely removed from the surroundings & events of its creation and something real is lost.

So that is what I named a tiny music shack in the woods, where music is made with the sounds of rain on the tin roof and birdsong (among other things) in the background... it is a concept of ears over meters, art over science, and natural over processed...

It is also now the means by which I can self-release my music and inspired, hand-crafted music of others, dispersing it like seed into the wind in the hopes it becomes part of the soundtrack to your life.

Organic Sound is also the home base of Parking Lot Music, a BMI music publishing company.

The green & gray theme was inspired by the old Impulse jazz label ~ if you're in a CD shop and you see that black & orange spine, you know something good is in there. You might like it or it might not be to your taste, but you respect it because you know it's daring music with integrity, vibrant and alive. That you're sure of. I respect that so much and my aims are similar in nature ~ music to move you, real handmade music true to the visions, sounds of fresh inspiration going down in all their ragged glory, no filler. Honest art. Higher sounds. The gray & green means it's a safe bet and we roll right behind the scenes as to where your dollars (every one a vote) go. You support art, the artists, and help us reseed the garden and keep going.
