Brother Scott Scott Beckwith is a creative force of Nature. When not building guitars or writing, songs & music of various genres flow though him like water. Third person is jive. Organic Sound is the name of my little music shack; Organic Sound Records was started as a vehicle for me to get solo albums & those of projects I'm involved in out on my own terms. On the Brother Scott stuff I generally play everything myself & treat the recording gear like another instrument, and prefer the sounds of fresh inspiration as they happen. Wherever the Muse guides me, I follow. Influences: Brother Scott stuff is influenced by Nick Drake, spiritual paths & people, Neil Young, John Prine... Other general influences include John Coltrane, Alice Coltrane, Blue Cheer, rural life, the road. |

Sonic Light Embrace Electric music as prayer. As I awakened to some deeper understandings, I realized music is vibration ~ and so is everything else, whatever direction you come at those basic elements from. And from instruments I know vibration affects vibration. Sonic Light Embrace is music created & performed with the intent to spread Higher vibrations. It's electric, it's eclectic, and the guitar is my main voice. I hope it moves you in good ways. The first album is a bit mellower than Sphurana. Sphurana is a Sanskrit word along the lines of "bursting forth into manifestation" ...think "Coltrane meets Blue Cheer by the Ganges". I'd call it electric psychedelic fusion but in spots it's more like fission. |
